California Surf Film Festival
The California Surf Museum is proud to announce its first “California Surf Festival,” Friday, November 7 and Saturday, November 8, at the historic Crest Theatre in downtown Oceanside. This film festival promises to be a landmark event as it honors Bruce Brown and his family for 50 years of filmmaking.
The California Surf Festival will be showcasing a variety of Brown family films, including Bruce’s 1958 “Slippery When Wet” and the 1964 “Endless Summer,” and films from sons Dana and Wes.
Don’t miss this incredible opportunity! Saturday evening, join in a VIP reception with the Brown family. Following the reception, Bruce will be providing a one-time-only live narration of “Endless Summer,” assisted by his son Dana.
For a full schedule of films, VIP reception, ticket purchase and more, please visit www.californiasurffestival.com.
The California Surf Museum serves as an international repository and resource center on the lifestyle sport of surfing through capturing, preserving and chronicling its art, culture and heritage for the education and enjoyment of future generations. Funds raised at this event will be used to build out the interior of CSM’s new location at 312 Pier View Way and to curate future displays.
The California Surf Museum is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization located at 223 North Coast Highway, Oceanside, CA 92054, 721-6876, www.surfmuseum.org. Open Monday-Friday, 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. Free admission; donations are welcome. Memberships and sponsorships available.
