ON Ensemble – September 13 – Sunshine Brooks Theatre
With Japanese drums at the foundation of its world music mix, ON Ensemble takes the ancient instruments of ‘taiko’ into new realms. Infusing the powerful rhythms of Japanese drumming with influences ranging from hip-hop to Tuvan throat singing, ON Ensemble’s unique sound has been praised as "completely original and brilliantly conceived".

Mariachi Reyna de Los Angeles® – October 18 – Star Theatre America's first all-female mariachi ensemble, Mariachi Reyna de Los Angeles®, captivates audiences with a passionate and vivacious spirit. Featuring eleven exceptionally talented women, the band has shared the stage with legendary Mexican musicians such as Vicki Carr, Guadalupe Piñeda and Lucha Villa, and was recently the subject of an award winning PBS documentary titled "Compañeras". ¡Que Vivan Las Mujeres!

Ríchard Bernárd’s OY!Stars – December 6 – Sunshine Brooks Theatre One of the nation’s premiere Klezmer bands, Ríchard Bernárd’s OY!Stars perform authentic Yiddish turn-of-the-century dance music, and hits from the Golden Era of New York’s Second Avenue Yiddish Theatre. You won’t want to miss the band the "Jewish Journal" simply calls, "Perfect!"
Tickets are $15 for each show, and are available at the Civic Center and Mission Branch Libraries’ check-out desks. Performance time is 7:30 pm. Doors open at 7:00 pm and it is open seating. These concerts may sell out; advance ticket purchase is strongly recommended.
