The North County Model Railroad Society, located on the upper level of Boney’s Marketplace at 1820 Oceanside Boulevard just off I-5, is celebrating its first year at this location. The model railroad club is working on the first phase of a large HO scale layout centered on a time period that spans 1940 to 1970.
The club is open to the public Saturdays from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm. Groups are welcome at other times by appointment. Children of all ages as well as adults are welcome to operate the trains.
Outreach programs include offsite demonstrations with a portable layout and Operation Lifesaver® railroad safety presentations.
